FAD students gain valuable insights into the world of editorial direction and styling in a masterclass with the creative team behind Ounass, the leading luxury e-commerce platform.
FAD is committed to providing students with immersive industry exposure, offering unique opportunities to learn directly from the leaders shaping the fashion world. Recently, students from all courses had the privilege of attending a dynamic masterclass with some of the most creative minds from Ounass, the premier luxury e-commerce platform in the region.
The session was led by three industry experts from the Ounass team: Drew Brown (Senior Editorial Producer), Alessia Simpson (Fashion Art Director), and Andrina Goussous (Junior Creative Stylist). These seasoned professionals guided students through the nuances of editorial direction and styling, providing them with an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the creative process.
The masterclass explored how storytelling is crafted through styling, the critical collaboration between art directors and stylists, and the strategies behind translating a creative vision into stunning editorial content. Students also learned practical tips on executing high-level editorial shoots, as well as the importance of visual narratives in bringing a brand's message to life.
Throughout the session, the speakers emphasized the significance of adaptability and collaboration in the ever-evolving fashion industry—skills essential for future creatives who aim to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Masterclasses like these are vital in bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world practice, ensuring that FAD students are not only inspired but also prepared to step into the industry with confidence and creativity.
