Fashion Styling Alumna Sneha Maria Siby talks to us about her latest publications, her internships & experiences at FAD and how she fuses design & styling in her work.

Creativity is an utmost common term, but there are some for whom this term weighs significantly - FAD Fashion Styling Alumni Sneha Maria Siby is a prime example, gaining immense recognition for her perseverance & creativity in the industry.
Continuing its support to talents, FAD provides internships to Fashion Styling student Sneha Maria Siby to assist Stylist Chantal Brocca. Sneha continues to work with Chantal, with the most recent shoot being of Vogue Arabia x Chanel - for their high jewellery collection celebrating 100 years of Chanel No5. Sneha assisted Chantal on the shoot, captured by famed imagemaker Mous Lambarat.

"I've always enjoyed expressing my creativity through clothing, which is one reason I've decided to pursue a career as a Stylist. Just like no two people are the same, no two outfits are the same. You can always add or subtract elements to make the outfit unique to the person wearing it”, explains Sneha.

Shifting our heed towards her stupendous work that speaks length about the marvelous stylist - from assisting the iconic Chantal Brocca for Vogue Arabia x Chanel to working with designer labels like Lama Jouni, Mrs. Keepa, Jennifer Kolomoni in commercial, editorial, fashion show styling and assisting in Vogue Arabia x Burberry.

Pondering upon the urge to gain an in-depth knowledge of styling, she continues, ”I desired to know more about how to select clothes and accessories for publications, television advertising, music, and concerts. As a former Fashion Designer, I could create designs by hand or computer, and the garments are final outcome, furthermore, to combine both of these skills was my inspiration to be a Fashion Stylist.”

Beginning with hesitation about her career choice to getting reassurance and a boost of confidence while settling in this tremendous industry, Sneha expressed her deepest gratitude towards FAD and her mentors whose guidance was immensely vital all through along. ” This experience has been beyond amazing! All the modules and the material are very informative and easy to access and the faculty has always been our biggest cheerleaders, being there for us around the clock if we need additional support, providing valuable feedback or solving queries.”

Sneha also garnered experience with Fashion Week backstage internships through FAD for Arab Fashion week for brands American Rag Cie & Barmo, Fashion Week DXB, FADTalents Show at Ajman Museum & Expo2020, and more.

She concludes, “Being part of FAD is one of the best decisions I've made, and I'm so happy to have found my new career family. Met a lot of professionals and had the opportunity to work with them.
