FASHION DESIGN LEVEL 2
This course is a follow-on from 'Certificate in Fashion Design Level 1' OR for individuals who have some design experience and wish to progress their technical & design skills in fashion.
The course will help individuals further their understanding of the principles of fashion design, with an emphasis on three-dimensional experimentation. Students work with fabric directly onto dress mannequins and experimental ideas will then be developed onto paper drafts. Individuals get a deeper understanding of the technical skills and work on translating ideas from sketches to three dimensional.

COURSE OVERVIEW
This course will help you consolidate your understanding of fashion design with modules in textiles & fabrics, pattern drafting & pattern making, advanced illustration, draping to basics of garment construction.
Students also make various industry visits to design ateliers, textile markets, production units and fashion events to gain industry exposure and build a network.
On successful completion of the course individuals would be able to develop their signature style & would be able to develop both creative and technical skills and work towards developing collection ideas from initial sketches, patterns to toile.
Tutored by industry professionals and designers, students engage over taught classes, workshops, studio time, master classes and industry visits. Classes are structured to be small and individually focused with limited spaces per course to ensure students receive individual attention to work towards their objectives.
The FAD skilled tutoring team combines high profile industry lecturers and guest speakers, who are experts in their field, as students are prepared for the professional working environment of the fashion industry.
Outside of the classroom study day, students research and prepare live projects and assignments on an individual and group basis. This allows students more time for practical work and encourages individual learning and development.

CERTIFICATION
Certificate in Fashion Design Level 2 by FAD Dubai.
The course is approved by Knowledge & Human Development Authority ( KHDA ) Dubai.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Students or individuals having a previous academic or professional background in fashion with basic skills in fashion illustration or art.
Working professionals with industry experience or those owning their fashion enterprise are welcome to apply to develop further skills at a technical level on this course.
